Emily Grimes and Suzanne are experienced caterers and have taught cooking classes both professionally and as volunteers. Between the two of them they have professional experience in event planning and cooking store management and have consulted on a number of other cookbooks.
Introduction to Cookbook
During the several years I have known Susu and Emily, I have been in their homes for many occasions such as brunches, luncheons, dinners, and Saint Patrick’s Day parties. They each have the talent and ability to entertain so that everyone including themselves has a wonderful time. Both of them are constantly besieged with recipe requests, so much so that they decided to put their most successful hors d’oeuvres into a cookbook. They have gone about compiling this book with the same careful planning they put into their own entertaining. Every recipe has been carefully kitchen tested. An essential ingredient to a successful party, no matter how large or small, is being able to prepare ahead of time. You will find in these recipes expert information on freezing and making-ahead.
I’m not a world famous authority on food, but I do consider myself an authority on Susu and Emily’s creative cookery. I was very fortunate to be asked to taste test after they kitchen tested. I happily recommend Teasers and Appeasers to everyone from the beginner to the person planning his or her umpteenth party and looking for something new.
